Update from Christine - Jan 26

From Ms. Christine -
Holland has been doing a lot of focused drawing lately. He seems very intentional with his marks, making parallel lines in between the lines on the paper. I wonder if Sofia's interest in writing and drawing fuels his interest. Today, he wanted to draw on some lined paper that Sofia was using yesterday to practice cursive on. He has been making lines and loops every so often. He also has been doing a lot of circular actions or actions that you can do, undo, and redo. After being able to choose a crayon and put it back to choose another color, that became the activity that interested him even more than the drawing (which he then was just doing a mark or two before switching colors again). Holland also was taking out the kitchen things, opening the Hefty ziplock bags, taking things out, and then putting them back in and zipping it back up. He did some cutting of the velcro fruit and stayed with the task a little more, as I held the fruit for him so it wouldn't slip, but the play with the things inside the bags was very meager compared to just opening and closing the bags.
