Arboretum Cows with Sofia

We went to the Arboretum today and the kids had a lot of fun!  Sofia really liked the purple flowers in the plants with the dark purple leaves and was so excited when she saw the cows.  She was telling me that she had been there before but she didn't remember.  She told me she thought there would be real cows, but really enjoyed playing around these cows.  She was able to climb on one of them and we played hide and seek and tag around the trees and the cows.  When Sofia is around, Holland is just elated at whatever Sofia does and is more interested in watching her than playing or exploring on his own.  It was interesting how today when he saw the cows, he didn't shout "dog," but when we saw a lady walking her dogs, he pointed and said "dog!"  He was really interested and trotted over to them, but I wasn't sure how safe the dogs were (and the lady told me the dogs weren't used to kids), so I went to stay with him and help him keep his distance.
