From Ms. Christine & incl a bit of a recap from his Lab School --
Rosalinda told me that at drop off today, Holland cried when Scott left, but he recovered after a little while, starting to use the car ports and lawnmowers outside. He didn't cry as long as with Cindy, but in general, separations are going better with both and he is recovering more quickly.
She said that she planted a plant outside and Holland helped her dig a hole and put the plant in. Holland showed interested, so he was the one that got to help. I know he's always wanting to play with the sticks and rocks outside, so that makes sense that he would be interested in this nature project. Rosalinda said they had little nets and ducks and fish floating in a tub of water and when Holland got one in the net, he was so excited, showing people, and doing it again and again. He's really working on that hand-eye coordination. The duck/fish task makes me think of him following the moving bubbles in order to pop them - coordinating his body quickly enough to follow a moving object, and being able to anticipate and plan for where it's going to go in order to catch it. He had a lot of pears (which apparently, nobody else wanted), and kix for snack. He enjoyed watching the teachers sing and do "Where is Thumbkin?" with their hands, but she said he hasn't started doing movements yet since he's still learning the song. Holland enjoyed using the cell phone and camera today and did some drawing, which I brought home.
